Project Schedules

At the Project level, schedules are auto-created when a Project is created. Dates are static and records are dynamic based on tasks and subtasks.

  • Multi-levels of tasks/sub-tasks

    • Add, Edit & Delete

    • Start/End Dates

    • Progress

    • Dependencies

  • Each level's start/end date cumulates/rolls up from its sub-levels

To add Tasks, simply select the Task button located at the top left of the schedule OR right mouse click on the project. All subtasks can be added with a right mouse click to the associated task. Date will default to current date. Users may adjust date via "click and drive" on the chart. A hover will show record-specific data related to the project schedule.

Dependencies can be created by connecting tasks and subtasks to provide assurance that one task/subtask doesn't begin before a prior one is completed, but only if desired.

A PM will have the ability to Export schedules utilizing the Export feature located in the top right corner of the Scheduling tool. The Excel export will show the hierarchy of the schedule but does not currently included the GANTT image. A PDF export zoomed no smaller than a weekly perspective will provide GANTT view that is ideal for inclusion in reporting, etc.

Program

Program level schedules are auto-created when Program is created and will include details of all projects now and in the future. Program is a rolled-up view of its Projects. This perspective is View Only as there is no ability to Add, Edit or Delete functionality. The Project Manager will own scheduling for his/her projects as Program level perspective is meant for review and insight purposes.
